Hello...

Been forever since we posted an entry. A couple of weeks ago it rained for 3 days straight - literally. Never stopped pouring rain. Our basement was starting to flood so I went over to my mom's house to borrow her sump pump only to find that she already had 4" in her basement.

We scrambled to save what we could - mostly sentimental items. At it's worst, there was about 12" - and it covered the entire basement. It was like a swimming pool down there. We worked until 4am getting the water out.

I wish I had my camera to docment the experience but it really wasn't on my mind until after the fact.

Snowboarding at Stevens

So, the snow has finally stopped here. We did take advantage of all the snow in the mountains and went snowboarding last week. It was in the teens and much cooler up on the mountain. We bumped into several of our friends while up there. Funny that we could even recognize each other!!

Didn't take many pics but here are a few.

It's been snowing off and on for three days now. It's dumping right now and there is an avalanche effect in the Cascades and also suppose to be 90 mph winds in the foothills. Paul up snowboarding today and I'm hoping hemakes it out of the mountains!!

Basically it's COLD! Blizzardy weather. In the time that we've lived in both Tacoma and Seattle (past 15 years), it has never been this snowy and cold.

Usually when it snows here, it melts by the next day. It's staying so cold that the snow is turning to ice and man is it slippery.

The snow dumped last night! It's been very cold here the past week. Our high today is going to be 32º. BRRRRR.
